Prescott Pabst Wurlitzer

Prescott Pabst Wurlitzer, of Fox Point, died peacefully at his home on Friday, January 27, 2006 at the age of 56 years.  Beloved husband for 27 years of Frances (nee Frederick) Wurlitzer.  Loving son of Rymond P. & Margaret H. Wurlitzer.  Dear brother of Margaret (Richard) Steinmetz, Heidi (Howard Haas) Wurlitzer, Wendy (Bruce Evans) Wurlitzer, Kristina (John) Harvey and Amy (Jon) Hopkins.  Further survived by many loving nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon on Tuesday January 31 at the funeral home with a Celebration of Prescott's Life at 12:00 Noon.  Memorials to The Milwaukee Public Museum, Pabst Mansion or The ALS Society of Southeastern Wisconsin would be deeply appreciated in lieu of flowers.

Prescott was the great-great grandson of Captain Frederick Pabst.  He was a graduate of Whitefish Bay High School, received his BA from Princeton University and his MA from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.  He served as a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State in Santo Domingo, Stuttgart, Harare, Zimbabwe, Bonn and Washington DC.  When he left the Foreign Service, he joined Citizen's Bank of Delavan.  In recent years Prescott has served on the boards of The Friends of The Milwaukee Public Museum, The Pabst Mansion, The UW Institute of World Affairs, Center for Children's Literature and Common Cause in Wisconsin.

A very special thank you is extended to the doctors, nurses and staff of Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital - Columbia Campus Critical Care Unit for their compassionate care of Prescott in the last week of his life.
